Vessel Hire Costs
The primary cost associated with a yacht charter is the vessel hire. This fee covers the rental of the yacht itself, including fuel, marine crew, and GST. The vessel hire fee is the foundation of your charter costs, and it can vary depending on the size and type of the yacht, the duration of the charter, and the time of year.
Public Holidays Surcharge: A 20% surcharge on vessel hire applies on public holidays due to the increased demand and operational costs during these peak times.
Additional Costs of Yacht Charters
While the vessel hire covers many essentials, there are additional costs to consider that can significantly affect the total price of your charter.
- Catering: Catering is typically excluded from the base price. You can choose from a range of catering options or bring your own food and beverages (BYO fees may apply).
- BYO Fees: If you prefer to bring your own food and drinks, BYO fees are applicable.
- Wharf Fees: Wharf fees are additional and vary depending on the pick-up and drop-off locations.
- Wait Staff and Chef Fees: For a more luxurious experience, professional wait staff and chefs can be hired. Please note that a 100% surcharge applies on public holidays.
- Water Toys: Enhance your yacht experience with water toys like jet skis, paddleboards, and inflatables. These are available at an additional cost.
Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA)
For all overnight, multi-day, and weekly charters, a 30% Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA) is required. The APA is a deposit collected upfront to cover the costs of provisions, fuel, and any other variable expenses during the charter. Any unused funds from the APA are refunded after the charter, while any overages are settled at the end.
Overnight Charters
Overnight charters are a popular option for those looking to immerse themselves in the luxury of a yacht while exploring Sydney’s breathtaking waterways.
- Inclusions: All overnight charters include vessel hire, GST, fuel, and the marine crew, ensuring you have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
